Concept
- Connections for 2,500+ parents.
- I started Bondi Babies when first pregnant and built it up by distributing business cards and posters at relevant locations. It spread through word of mouth and was featured in the Wentworth Courier. At time of writing there are over 2,500 members, but it is always growing.
- It enables members to connect with local parents, posting questions and answers. Many friendships and subgroups have sprung from it and it provides a resource to help people with their problems, any time of day or night.
- As it has become such a useful, thriving community I also started one in Bali while living there, called Bali Babies, currently with over 1,000 members and now a more niche group for people in and around Avalon, but I haven't stated promoting that yet.
- For a more detailed explanation of the development of these groups please
read my blog post about it.
